What Kind of Support Do I Actually Need?

Sometimes people reach out and say:
“I don’t know what I need… I just know something feels off.”
That’s actually the perfect place to begin.
Not every nervous system needs the same kind of support. Some people need space to talk and process. Some need a place to rest. Some need movement. Some need a witness and a hand to hold. Some need help hearing what the body has been trying to say underneath the noise.
Below are a few ways to explore what kind of support may feel most aligned right now.
“I feel overwhelmed and don't know what I need”
You may benefit from a Somatic Listening Session.
These sessions focus on slowing down and listening beneath the mental story. Through guided inquiry, nervous system awareness, breath, and body-based reflection, we begin exploring what your body may be holding underneath the overwhelm.
This work is especially supportive for:
chronic stress
anxiety
emotional overwhelm
people who feel “stuck”
those who have done talk therapy but still feel disconnected from their body
Questions to ask yourself:
What emotion keeps repeating in my life?
Where do I feel pressure or tension in my body most often?
What happens when I stop distracting myself?
Do I feel safe resting?
“I feel disconnected from my body, emotionally flooded, or stuck in looping thoughts.”
You may benefit from a Somatic Embodiment Therapy Session.
These sessions blend somatic yoga therapy, breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, nervous system regulation practices, and sometimes hands-on support to help reconnect the body, emotions, mind, and energy.
This is less about “fixing” yourself and more about learning how to hear yourself again.
Questions to ask yourself:
When was the last time I truly felt present in my body?
Do I tend to live in my head?
What sensations do I avoid feeling?
What would it feel like to soften instead of push?
“I carry stress in my body and can’t fully relax.”
You may benefit from Divine Harmony Bodywork or Thai Bodywork.
These sessions support regulation through intentional touch, pressure, stretching, and nervous system downshifting. Many people don’t realize how long they’ve been bracing until the body finally feels supported enough to let go.
Questions to ask yourself:
Do I constantly feel tight, clenched, or guarded?
Do I struggle to receive support?
Does my body feel exhausted even when I rest?
When was the last time I felt deeply cared for?
“I need to rest and allow my mind some quiet time.”
You may benefit from Vibroacoustic Reiki.
This experience combines Reiki energy work with sound frequencies felt directly through a vibroacoustic table to help the nervous system settle into a deeply restorative state.
Many clients describe this as feeling like their whole system finally exhaled.
Questions to ask yourself:
Am I always “on”?
Do I feel emotionally or energetically depleted?
Do I have difficulty slowing down?
What would deep rest feel like in my body?
You do not have to know exactly what you need.
That’s part of the process.
Often people come to this work after trying to think their way through their healing. The body sometimes needs a voice too.
If you’re unsure where to begin, we can start there together.
